Wouldn’t It Be Nice

Just read this comment on a 紅白BBS:

中 森明菜は、今年の紅白当選確実視されてるように思います。そこで、是非トリをやってもらいたいなと思います。彼女にとってのビッグタイトルで実現されてな いのは、東西の各有線大賞グランプリと紅白のトリのみなのです。実力もあり大物として申し分ないと思います。どうせいつもの和田、石川、天童、坂本、小林 の５強のトリはうんざりだから。２００２年の時も曲目はメドレーを明菜本人は希望してたらしいのですが１曲じっくり歌ってというNHKの要望だったので今 年はとりをとってじっくり聞かせて盛り上げてほしいものです。

I wonder if it is an Akina fan who posted it. It is true about what he/she said that though Akina dominated most of the awards ceremony, she was never cast as the トリ (last performer) for the Red Team, which is the greatest honour on both teams. 山口百恵 and 安室奈美恵 were the only idol singers who were invited to do so, and there were rumors that Akina was considered for 難破船, though there was no confirmation.

I don’t think she will be トリ this year, but wouldn’t it be nice dream … now if she was eventually invited.

DESIRE ~ that hair wig ~

actually, Akina started wearing the wig she used during Desire’s promotional period back in Concert 1985 "Bitter & Sweet"…this pic is taken from the visual book "VINGTANS", which captured some photos of the 1985 concert…which are not released on video/DVD…the songlist in the released version was heavily cut…missing a lot of regular single numbers out…anyway, just as I found this picture…another discovery came about ….doesn’t that dress look a little familar??! AGAIN!!

The answer to that dress….GYPSY QUEEN in 1986!! …1st appearance on BEST TEN (  ザベストテン ). That was the only time Akina used that dress for Gypsy Queen…I guess she realised that it doesn’t suit the song and she got nicer clothes to wear!!

Sometimes, one may wonder why we keep talking about Recyclemania here…I guess it takes a true, blue and "poisoned" Akina fan to be able to recognise all these repeated fashion… Whatever we say here…it just goes to show how much we adore this 歌姫…dun we?

According to Nikkansports, 松本伊代(40), 早見優(39) & 堀ちえみ(38) are coming together to release a single – "Micky Mouse March" on 7 Dec 2005.

The funny thing is the reporter made fun of them, saying they have nine kids among themselves and are 117 years old together.

ＮＨＫ「スキウタ」投票36万9000件

Hi Everyone,

I was just looking through the posts from the Akina Yahoo Forum and saw this report:

It reported that 4 days after they disclosed the Top 30 songs on the half way poll for 紅白歌合戦 poll, another ３６万９０００件 has been cast, resulting in a total of ６２万７０００票 being cast and more.

I don’t know how true this report is because it seems like only one newspaper reported it, but the votes had doubled from the ３６万９０００ votes at the half way mark.

Hopefully, Akina fans have been inspired by her good results and decided to vote more for her. It was also seen on another comment on Minoru World’s BBS that an ad was cast (if I read correctly), and in it was a fan who said that he was a big fan of Akina and he wished that she would sing "Meu Amore". I think the fan was excited that Akina was mentioned in the ad.

I think we all need to work harder!! I know there are fans who don’t care anymore but we want to let the Japanese public know that Akina lives forever and can still make it big!!!

Since we can’t vote via mobile, let’s work hard to cast more internet votes!! 頑張れ～明菜さん！！

that black dress…if you ever notice…

I am not sure if many of us ever realised about this one…I think it is acceptable to recycle as maybe it was really meant for Desire rather than to be worn on the last day of 1985 on 紅白…but anyway, Akina did it again…

Kenji and myself were watching "Tsumetai Tsuki" yesterday evening and it still amazes me each time i rewatch it how she could pull off a multi-dimensional look of hatred, anger, vengeance, envy, resolution and despair all rolled into one.

Depapepe “Let’s Go!!!”

Depapepe is an acoustic guitar group comprising  of 2 young men, 徳岡よしなり(28) and 三浦たくや(22).

As quoted by Danny,
"it’s spirited and ultra happy! guaranteed to make your day pretty and full of hope! it’s like taking soar upon a breath of fresh air in Spring, where technicoloured flora and fauna embrace you, and little animals hop around merrily…and stop to wave at you! it’s the type of album you play to set you off on a Sunday morning the moment you wake up amongst clean white bed linen. it’s the music you listen to which makes you wanna hug your best friend and sob tears of joy onto his/her shoulder."

Their music is well arranged and maintained a mostly happy and free-spirited mood. Particularly "Start" and " いい日だったね。".

I certainly hope that Akina will collaborate with talents like Depapepe to create a totally new chemistry and sound. Fill up the music pieces with lyrics and give us her rendition of it… it’s gonna be awesome!

Akina’s comforting vocals, topped with the happy-spirited music by Depapepe -  a refreshing collaboration that will provide movitation and strength for the tired souls and frayed nerves. =)
