It has finally been revealed. I am really happy that the main theme is an opera and not a new song by another pop singer. So, it seems fitting that Akina should sing the ending theme.

According to our Japanese friend, Nagai-san, it seems like Akina is appearing on quite a few newspaper/magazines and the following TV programs. So, maybe we will get more updates from Ranbi soon!!

so far, only Tower Records Japan has a link when you search for "中森明菜" and it says that Akina will release a new single on 17th May tentatively, and the titled is undecided as yet.

this program wasn’t shown in 関西area…so i didn’t get a chance to catch it live…and missed the following 3 autograhped posters for grab online!! The offer was up to 4am on their official website! argh!! Also, there were special hotlines for pre-order of the Yokohama and Tokyo concerts (‘cos these 2 will be organized by TBS).

プリマダム= a Madam who is a Top Ballerina (ie. 黒木瞳 as a housewife/madam being a top ballerina)
Akina as 倉橋嵐子
Akina’s role in the drama is 倉橋嵐子(Kurahashi Ranko), a previous world-renowned top ballerina, currently running the 倉橋バレエ団( Kurahashi Ballet Group). Has a 12 year old son, who has talents in ballet, however, under 嵐子’s strict ballet teaching, he is unable to enjoy ballet.

Today, 黒木瞳さん was on a TV program, a talkshow for 30 mins where she gets interviewed about her family life and definitely, promotion for the drama. There was a VTR part , where she was at the ballet studio in her pink dance dress practising, but no sight of Akina… =(
Also, at the end of the show, the CM for the drama was shown :
It was a series of shots for each of the cast, as interestingly, like the official website, Akina appeared as the last character. I guess this sequence was intentional, like the website.
プリマダム starts airing on 12th April (Wed), 2200hrs~2254hrs.
1st episode is an extended version till 2309hrs. =)
p.s. in the drama CM, only instrumental music was used…where is Akina new song???….

Akina will be appearing on this show, which she appeared last year to promote her Empress Live concert last year & also, a tour in some museum the last time. No mention about the content in this show as yet, and I have to check further if it will be telecast in Osaka ?! Again, at this 0210hrs, who will be watching TV?!!!?!
Anyway,, this is still better than nothing.

According to Wikipedia, Akina‘s upcoming Spring drama "プリマダム" is actually an adaptation of a novel titled "バレエやりたい!" ~~
The full name of Akina‘s role = 倉橋嵐子. 倉橋嵐子 is 万田佳奈（黒木瞳)’s childhood friend. They took ballet classes together. 万田佳奈 withdrew from class due to financial problem, while 倉橋嵐子 continued and became a prima ballerina.
After years, 倉橋嵐子 & 万田佳奈 reunited. 万田佳奈 has become a housewife and 倉橋嵐子, beyond her prima, has become a manager in the ballet company…
And the story starts…
