花よ踊れ - 作詞：夏蓮 作曲：羽場仁志 編曲：上杉洋史
i managed to find a bit of quiet time(where no one was watching TV) today to replay the video for the new single, 「花よ踊れ」,
It has been discussed on the BBS that 上杉洋史, who arranges the music for this single, is the same person that has been on the keyboard and music arrangement for 2004 and most important and impressive 2005 Empress Live concert.
Indeed, a second listening at the single made this point clear.
The arrangement was really solid and moving. The music itself, concentrated a lot on the lower range of Akina’s vocals, which brought out her charm a lot. The chorus is unlike 落花流水, where there is a built up portion(ie. "ああ。。。無言の恋歌’…but in this case, the song simply moves and moves, and at one part, a punch by a relatively higher note(as compared the whole music)…which i thought was really nice and impressive…a different approach this time…
The comparison with 「楽園の女神」is really the closest for now…It might bring out a little bit of the Will album, but definitely, more polished and not "similar" tunes among the songs in that album….
Despite the "shocking" cover art, I still think it is a wonderful single to look forward to. Together with the news of dancers for the concert, sure to expect a Meu-amore-style of dance for this one…which will be perfect in my opinion! 完璧！
This is a artisicallydone "no need to show your face" MTV. You know it’s Kyon2 but you can’t see her face clearly. Her action matches the rhyme too. I like it ^^
Actually I was thinking (while watching the MTV) Akina can do something similar.

any idea which concert/programme this is from? she looks gorgeous! and so effortless. notice how they sped up the tempo of the song.
this was how Momoe “hung up” her mic and left her singing days behind. i can’t help but think if i’d cry my eyes and soul out should Akina do the same (in style or not) someday.
and then i started to tear. so yep, i hope it never come to this. what about you guys?
