It was one of the major selling points for "Zero", so I won’t be surprised if it is. It did make into Seiko’s tribute album "Jewel Songs", so they might double it up here.
Which brings me to the point … when are they going to have an Akina tribute album?
i think chances of one will be slim cos everyone will end up ruining her songs. haha. her songs are terribly difficult to carry off.
I recently heard a track by L’Arc~en~Ciel where they covered TATTOO live. hyde’s version sounded quite more seductive but it actually fitted the song in my opinion. That would make great fun for a Akina tribute album

For me, in general, Kouhaku is no longer a big event of the year. I think it loses its matter in jpop world as well. However, it does give a nice memory connection with many 80s-90s jpop. I will only watch it if Akina is on the show now.
