Just found more of these hilarious ものまね videos. I will have to do another search to see if Akina is in any of these, but I saw 早見優 in the second one. The first has Seiko with about ten other Seiko wannabes in 1982 when she released the single 「渚のバルコニー」. It’s not really funny and Seiko is nauseatingly ブッリコ, but the end of the video is worth waiting for.

 
Second video has 早見優 at the end laughing because the second lady looks very much like Seiko and does a great job at the very end when she is crowned champion. The scream is probably taken from Seiko’s 1982 FNS Grand Prix win.

 
Final video is eerie because the singer is so much like Seiko it has to be seen to believe. However, it shows what a drag queen lookalike Seiko has sort of become. I believe even 乱火さん and all those who dislike Seiko can agree on this post. It’s alright to laugh at her, and in the first instance, laugh together …

While we are on an rather unexpectedly long hiatus, I thought I might highlight this 物真似 (ものまね) video on Youtube. It’s not always funny, but when it reaches 八代亜紀, that’s where the fun begins. It extends to Akina who makes a beautiful appearance, 岩崎宏美 who enjoyed being made fun of, and Agnes Chan’s imitation which had me in stitches. Then it hits a bit of a lull until their Michael Jackson impersonation near the end. Enjoy!
