OMG, I was perusing SoundCloud and randomly searched for “Akina Nakamori” (I do that with every music service) and found this REALLY TRIPPY remix of “Blue On Pink” – one of the best b-sides ever – I really could get high on this!! What a treat and rare find!

A friend in Chiemi
From what we can see on the older archived footage from Yoru Hit or Kouhaku, Akina’s closest friends from the 1982 Super Idols Group seem to be Kyon2, Hidemi and to some extent Hayami Yu. Chiemi has always seemed slightly in awe and never particularly close, so it is a very pleasant surprise to see her blog her well wishes to Akina. The personal message that she mentions in her post about her exchanges with Akina at the Old Nihon Tere Elevator Hall are cute and real. Like Chiemi, we wish Akina well and hope to see her smile once again.

Sing Tao Daily (2010.10.28) Article On Akina’s Condition
Akina’s recent medical condition and cancellation of year-end dinner shows have garnered quite a bit of press, even from foreign publications. This is from the Sing Tao Daily. Thanks to Jerry for the scan! Shingles on the entire body is rather serious, but I am sure she will recover and make a huge comeback. This could perhaps jolt her back into the limelight when she returns. We wish Akina a speedy recovery.

There is an announcement that we wish to say to all.
Due to health reasons, Ms Nakamori Akina will be stopping all her activities in the entertainment scene for now.
Not mentioning the exact name of the illness, it has to do with the lowering of immunity due to overwork and overtired.
It has been advised that Ms Nakamori Akina has to stop work and rest to recover.
To all fans for their worries and inconvenience caused, please continue to support Ms Nakamori Akina until the day she returns to the entertainment scene soon.”
