Sing Tao Daily (2010.10.28) Article On Akina’s Condition
Akina’s recent medical condition and cancellation of year-end dinner shows have garnered quite a bit of press, even from foreign publications. This is from the Sing Tao Daily. Thanks to Jerry for the scan! Shingles on the entire body is rather serious, but I am sure she will recover and make a huge comeback. This could perhaps jolt her back into the limelight when she returns. We wish Akina a speedy recovery.

” Thank you for your continued support for Nakamori Akina always.
There is an announcement that we wish to say to all.
Due to health reasons, Ms Nakamori Akina will be stopping all her activities in the entertainment scene for now.
Not mentioning the exact name of the illness, it has to do with the lowering of immunity due to overwork and overtired.
It has been advised that Ms Nakamori Akina has to stop work and rest to recover.
To all fans for their worries and inconvenience caused, please continue to support Ms Nakamori Akina until the day she returns to the entertainment scene soon.”
Now that the above is official, VAMP would like to pray for speedy recovery for Ms Nakamori Akina and hope she will return in time for 30th Anniversary next year! Have a good rest and hope to hear Akina’s comeback news soon!!
中森明菜ーDinnerShow 2010 中止？！(cancellation)
It has been noted in many hotel homepage (that Akina is scheduled to perform her annual Dinner Show) that the event listing has been removed.
Even on one of them (予定されていたディナーショーは、中森明菜さんの体調不良により全公演とも中止となる模様) – a comment that it was cancelled due to Akina’s health reasons.
It is a little worrying and puzzling for many fans as this is the only public (paid) show for Akina’s work this year. For her to cancel all the shows, there must be something behind it.
Well, not to speculate, we shall wait for further official news (hopefully) to be released soon – through the long overdue FC newsletter or through the official websites.
Hope Akina is doing well now, no matter what.
