“Sugao No Mamade” Theme

So many years after, I still have the visuals of Akina running barefooted to the hospital in the final episode deeply etched in my mind. i happened to be holidaying in Japan then when they were telecasting it on TV, and I managed to catch that very scene as i was preparing to leave the hotel room. i didn’t know the series was showing then. needless to say, my friend (another Akina fan) and i stayed glued to the grey box until the end of the episode, with tears rolling off my cheeks.

“Sugao No Mamade” still ranks as one of the biggest hits in Japan drama history. the theme song “Kimigairudakede” is sung by Kome Kome Club.

Akina fanboy since 14. Still undecided which are his top ten favourite Akina tracks as it's mission impossible. Digs "Everlasting Love" a whole lot more than the average Akina fan.

  1. I like that series and I think Akina’s acting was great as usual. However, the opening sequence puts me off a little – it borrows too heavily from Madonna’s "Oh Father" video.
