destination1.jpgOK…. first the jacket… Looks like it’s confirmed….

Now to the demo online.

Hamu can’t decide whether the album is closer to "Shaker" or "VAMP".

And as expected the so-called album versions are crap. 落花流水 sounds uhm… (you decide for yourselves).

Akina fanboy since 14. Still undecided which are his top ten favourite Akina tracks as it's mission impossible. Digs "Everlasting Love" a whole lot more than the average Akina fan.

  1. Oh, I like that. The albums sounds very comtemporary, which is a relief. Nice to see her moving away from the 80’s and the 90’s. I think it’s somewhere between "Shaker" and "Vamp", perhaps gearing slightly towards the former. The first few tracks sound quite catchy and "Grace Rain" sounds tres sexy!

  2. hey Jerry! YES – the track that stands out for me is Grace Rain!!! very promising. reminds me of Portishead for some reason, altho not as dark. i know it’s far off Portishead, but i can almost picture Akina singing with a cigarette in one hand under a mellow spotlight…

other tracks that i’m excited about – Only You, Seashore, 眠れる森の蝶, and LOVE GATE!

sounds like it will be a super soaker grower! like VAMP!! looking forward to driving down the expressway with the roof down! her super low vocals suit this type of chill sound.

    YAY!!!! nevermind the old photo!!

  3. heard the 2 singles… i think they’re reworked quite nicely

not going to hear the rest till the full thing comes out, don’t like little bits

  4. It’s amazing how much our preference are so similar.

From the preview, Only You and Grace Rain sound the most interesting.

None of them sounds latin though. Isn’t there a report of that or it was just a rumor?

  5. now i think the old photo suits the whole mood of the album! Lovely..

Enjoyed the all the snippets.. Favourites now: 夜の華, GRACE RAIN. The rest are also very nice! =)

WOOOOO… can imagine sipping riesiling, and relaxing on the couch with the music and her voice. wowa!

  6. Maybe it’s just me but several songs sound very much like SMAP’s songs. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kenji Hayashida had composed them.
