Chinatown Dream Come True

This news marks the confirmation of the inclusion of 「チャイナタウン」 in 「歌姫ベスト~25thAnniversary Selection~」.

Interesting points included that when the instant Akina heard this song, she felt the desire to sing it and this urge only continued as time went by. She seeked permission from the singer songwriter to cover this song 5 years ago but never received a formal 「OK」. Eventually, her will power and perserverance moved the songwriter or his management team to give her the nod. Naturally, she is delighted (and I speak for the fans when I say we feel the same way too, even though I have never heard the song before).

This will be her final project to close out her 25th Anniversary celebration and lastly, 「いい日旅立ち」 was once again mentioned with the added note that it is her fans wishes that it will be released as single. Wonder whose blog or BBS they are reading …

Akina fanboy since 14. Still undecided which are his top ten favourite Akina tracks as it's mission impossible. Digs "Everlasting Love" a whole lot more than the average Akina fan.

  1. Thanks for the information.

Sorry for my zero japanese. Why is ‘Chinatown Dream Come True’?

    Thank you.

  2. please, just no more 最後の最後に. so fed up with such a stupid expression.

thanks for the news though. it’s better to have more new songs in the best.

  3. It’s nice to have another studio-recorded song other than 「いい日旅立ち」but I’m just not very excited over "Chinatown". Akina sang this song for her dinner shows a few years back but I find it rather… should I put it….flat!
