Still undecided which are his top ten favourite Akina tracks as it's mission impossible. Digs "Everlasting Love" a whole lot more than the average Akina fan. 7 thoughts on “2 more Enka tracks” Dear Danny, thank you so much!!!!!! It is such a joy to visit this site first thing in the morning and saw your post!!! Such a treat! Ah, suddenly Thursday here in L.A. today seems to be much nicer and even my work day seems to be more pleasant than before. Hontoni Arigato Gozaimasu. Reply you’re welcome!! so you’re in LA! =) i dream of all the regulars of this site meeting some day! it’ll be so fun! Reply Maybe in next Akina’s concert? If she is going to hold one in Japan again, I will fly over there to watch (my first). Reply Hi, thank you very much. I was pretty sure I wouldn’t buy the album, being enka and all. But some of the songs, I wouldn’t even recognised as enka if I hadn’t known about it. Now I’m very tempted indeed….. Reply Olivia, think our wish just came true! Reply Tiffy, The album is very non enka because it is so soothing, especially with Akina’s vocals. I like some enka but I hate "in your face loud opera enka", and this album is so not that. It is contemporary and hip, and it has Sen Akira sen has removed all the annoying bits and made it into a sentimental ballads album. It is a really good cover album, so you should really buy it. BTW I think she should do a Jazz album next, because she can so ace that too! Like her rendition of 色彩のブルース is so good! Reply Yeah, good idea Jamez! I love Jazz! After listening to "Dance…." (sorry forgot the name), track 2 in Utahime Best, I am convinved that Akina can challenge herself one more time in Jazz as well. But hopefully not a cover one but original releases.
