According to this BBS,  「艶華-Enka-」’s second week position on Oricon Weekly chart to be released tomorrow is 17th. We do not have the official sales figures yet, but at least it fought to stay in the Top 20. If it made it’s debut this week, it could be possibly be another Top 5 hit.

Now, after yesterday’s plummet to No. 16, I didn’t dare hold high hopes for the Daily chart todaym but I was pleasantly surprised …

It looks like 「艶華-Enka-」 is gaining a fair bit of momentum though I am a little upset that there is not more promotion. There is basically nothing and Akina seems to be concentrating on her Autumn concert instead. Hope that we will get to see some live TV action soon.

From the same BBS, it is revealed that 「艶華-Enka-」 received gold status for selling over a certain amount of copies along some other releases:

ゴールド

  • 「LOVE & SOUL」ET-KING
     2007.06.06 ユニバーサル ミュージック
  • 「ALL YOURS」Crystal Kay

This is great news and proof that Universal is not just plainly boasting about printing and shipping extra this time. I don’t know if anyone has any reviews from the Japanese CD magazines, but if anyone knows any, it would be nice to know what they thought. Let’s hope that 「艶華-Enka-」 will continue a healthy run and Akina’s next original album will have as much success as her cover albums.

Akina fanboy since 14. Still undecided which are his top ten favourite Akina tracks as it's mission impossible. Digs "Everlasting Love" a whole lot more than the average Akina fan.

  1. Akina Fun Site states that it sold 11,272 copies making it now 40,674 in total! It also jumped to #12! :O
    What an interesting charter lol.

  2. Hi fellow VAMPS,

Just wonder if anyone has the latest news about Akina’s Autumn concert. I really want to go to my first Akina concert this time and I heard that the tickets sold out fairly quickly.

    THanks….Olivia

  3. Hi Danny,

Sorry to give you the scare. I mean normally her tickets sold out pretty quick, so I wonder if her Autumn concert tickets are on sale yet.

I really have no clue on how to buy concert tickets in Japan and desperately need help.

  4. no worries Olivia, if we get news, you’ll hear wind of it on VAMP first! Ranbi usually collates the orders and he’ll get his contact in Japan to help purchase the tix. or via the fan club. if the seats are limited, there will usually be a balloting system. in the past we’ve had no probs getting tix. my best pal Sharon is also in Japan now, and she’ll most probably be catching the concert herself. i can always get her to help too.

    =)

  5. Thanks Danny! A comfort to hear that. 🙂
I am so excited for my possible first Akina live concert!

  6. I cannot really go this summer or fall since I have my vacation book both flight and hotel.

If the concert is during Christmas, I might be able to join but the flight during that time is just crazy.
